We visit all hotels taking into account the location, accommodation, cuisine and services offered. They range, UK and Continental, from the smaller, family-owned and run hotels to the reputable worldwide chains. We usually use three or four star hotels but have found some really lovely hotels with the absence of a star rating or equivalent and can assure you that it does not necessarily mean that they are a lower standard. For each holiday we state all hotels used on that particular tour as well as the main hotel facilities. Please note there may be some steps/stairs at hotels even if they have a lift, therefore it is most important that you give us as much information as possible concerning your abilities so that we can pass on the relevant information and you can be placed accordingly.
Half board is included on all our holidays with full English or full buffet breakfast and three course or hot and cold buffet dinner.
As we book hotels almost two years in advance, sometimes they subsequently change ownership/management. We strive to maintain our arrangements with them but if this is not possible, we reserve the right to change to another hotel of a similar standard.
Tea/coffee making facilities are not usually provided at European hotels or included with your evening meal so please remember to bring your travel kettle/plug etc.
There will usually be a set menu on overnight stops so it is important that you let us know of any dietary requests. Also on these occasions we ask you to bring an overnight bag with you, so the main cases can be left on the coach.
Porterage is usually included at all UK and the main European hotels wherever applicable. Hand luggage must be carried by you. Our friendly team will always be there to help.
Gratuities are NOT INCLUDED for hotel staff, local guides or drivers. If you want to show your appreciation, this must be done by you personally.
Excursions and Admissions
We try to provide a varied programme that will interest everyone with panoramic, historic and humourous excursions. Local guides are usually employed for city tours so that you have the best possible, up to date, information on the city you are visiting. Using our knowledge, we carefully plan our routes taking in the most interesting and picturesque scenery, whilst also taking the most efficient and time saving route, so you can reach your destination in good time.
On your day of departure you will receive an updated itinerary of the tour and excursions included. Although we shall do our very best to keep to the itinerary, sometimes we may have to change the days around to suit weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances. You will always be kept fully informed.
Remember you do as little or as much as you want. It is your holiday so if you feel that you would like to have a free day and relax or explore the location by yourself we shall say, “Have a nice day”. But just be kind enough to let us know.
All we can say to you is you really will not be disappointed when you choose to travel with us.
FULL PASSPORT IS REQUIRED AND EUROS WILL BE REQUIRED UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE.
EH1C Card can be applied for from the Post Office and is recommended in case medical or hospital treatment is needed.
Please remember to bring some general medication such as tablets for travel sickness and upset stomach. Antiseptic cream/spray is also advisable for insect bites and rashes. Please check with your GP for any medical recommendations. A cushion/pillow is always handy on board the coach for your extra comfort.
Hostess service is always provided on these tours.

A phone call to our office will give you all the information you require. We can take provisional bookings but these can ONLY be held for a maximum of 7 days after which we must receive your completed booking form, together with your nonrefundable deposit of £50.00 per person.

Wheelchair/walking aids etc.
Please tell us if you need to bring any disability aid, so that we can insure the space when you make a booking.
Travellers needing special assistance
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate anyone with special needs, but if you need individual assistance you must be accompanied by a companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the necessary help. You must be able to board the coach, as neither PW Jones personnel nor our suppliers may physically lift clients onto transportation vehicles. We welcome everyone on our tours as long as they can get on and off the coach. Please note that we have limited access for wheelchairs and electric scooters and measurements must be provided upon booking when availability will be checked for space.
Please tell us if you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary within the tour dates as failure to do so can cause us embarrassment and you disappointment. Single Occupancy Some hotels charge a single occupancy which we have to pass on to you. Hotels state, this is because you have your own facilities and it is nothing to do with the size or location of the room
Some hotels charge a single occupancy which we have to pass on to you. Hotels state, this is because you have your own facilities and it is nothing to do with the size or location of the room.
Single people will be allocated a seat next to other single travellers, so as to avoid us having single seats left for sale.
After Sales Service
Whilst on a tour, should you encounter a problem and your driver/courier cannot help you, please do not hesitate to call our office immediately. We will follow up your call and do our utmost to rectify the matter as soon as possible. We take a personal interest in planning your holidays and sincerely want you to enjoy them.
European Twin Beds
Please note some European hotels have a twin/double bed unit similar to the picture on the right, NOT two separate beds as in the UK.

In view of the limited space and weight problem on the coaches, we ask you to bring one reasonable sized suitcase per person. A small holdall for overnight stops can be placed under your seat.
PLEASE JUST PUT YOUR FULL NAME ON THE LABELS. IF SHARING A ROOM PLEASE STATE BOTH NAMES AS BELOW.
We will possibly tie a coloured ribbon to your luggage as we pick you up, this will help us on the return journey. Please leave it on until you return home.
Fully comprehensive insurance cover is included as part of the holiday package, but if you choose to use your own personal insurance, please note there is no reduction in the holiday cost.
We are fully bonded tour operators protected by International Passenger Protection for all monies paid to us should any tour have to be cancelled or curtailed due to the insolvency of P W Jones.
